Copper facades

When aluminum comes in contact with a more precious metal, such as copper, a reaction will occur in which the aluminum is decomposed. It is therefore necessary to separate the materials to avoid corrosion.

During the design of the "Copper Tower" on Langelinie in Copenhagen, we further developed the curtain wall system HansenFasad and the award-winning window system HansenMillennium®. Now with external, visible parts in copper finish, and internal parts in aluminum. The inner aluminum can be treated as desired.

For Fredericia City Hall, we integrated screens on the outside of the window.
