Renovation of Old Water Mill

Complete renovation of an old water mill from 1576

An extensive renovation with great respect for the building's history was initiated, with a focus on ensuring the highest possible quality.

Optimization of all valuable building structures was carried out with regard to energy efficiency, indoor climate, and sound insulation, incorporating considerate energy improvements in various areas of the building structure.

Kongens Mølle has been fitted with HansenMillennium aluminum windows featuring slim profiles and style bars, replicating the appearance of steel windows and beautifully enhancing the aesthetics.

The renovation was carried out by local forces, including the construction company Vida Byg A/S, owned by Henrik Sørensen. He has been the driving force behind the entire project.

Architect Fin Strabo, who owns a local architectural firm has been involved in the project.
