About the project

Postbyen – a vibrant new district in the heart of Copenhagen

Postbyen is a dynamic new neighbourhood located in the very heart of Copenhagen, on the former site of the city’s main postal terminal, right next to Copenhagen Central Station.

This development represents an exciting transformation of central Copenhagen, where urban life, business, and residential living blend seamlessly in perfect harmony.

The area consists of five impressive towers ranging from 28 to 115 metres in height, several office complexes – including the future headquarters of Danske Bank – as well as a variety of public promenades, plazas, and urban gardens that invite people to gather and connect.

Hansen has delivered and installed the prefabricated modular façade elements.

From the development of profiles and 3D models to production, storage, and logistics – every step was carefully planned to ensure that the prefabricated HansenUnitAl elements could be installed with the highest level of precision and quality. We also developed an entirely new HansenMonorail crane system specifically for this project.

A total of 2,074 HansenUnitAl elements were installed, and we are proud to be part of this groundbreaking project in Copenhagen.
